3 is the Magic Number

3 is the magic number! Burning three candles at a time accomplishes what I call “Triangulating” your magic; it pinpoints your magic exactly where you intended it, cutting through potential pitfalls and blocks that you may have erected. The question is which three candles? With hundreds of Coventry candles to choose from, it can get downright overwhelming to pick the right combination.

We have come up with a few ways for you cut through the confusion and quickly choose the candles that are perfect for your unique situation. Sometimes your intuition needs a place to start, and this is what we are giving you here, a starting place; four starting places to be exact. The methods below are different ways to address the energy; from intensifying it to creating a ritual that will help you move up a level in the game of life. I use all the methods, allowing the particular circumstances to dictate which one.

1. Choose three of the same candle burnt in succession over 21 days. This triumvirate gives you a long term boost to your magic and increases your commitment to the outcome. 21 days is a magical number that helps the spirit to fully embrace this energy and help you manifest your magic completely. 21 days is also the marker in time that tells you if your magic has taken root and is working for you now.

2. Three complimentary candles to address your issue in the body, mind and spirit. For instance; Prosperity, Money Draw and Fertility addresses the issue of money on three levels spirit as well as in past present and future. The complimentary candles bring in similar energy from several directions to blanket you with that magic. You can use candles from the same line or several lines like; Witches Brew - Witches Purse, Hoo Doo - Money Draw and Tarot Tools - Money Emergency. 3. The Magic three of transformation. Look at your selection of candles as a spell of transformation; you are taking the energy of where you are today and morphing it into where you want to go.

a. Candle to represent where you are now; the area of your life that challenges you and needs to change. As most of the Coventry candles are positive and probably not representing the negative side you are currently experiencing, choose a candle that represents you like a Female Energies, Male Energies or any of the elements as they match your astrological sign. You can also use a candle that represents your situation like Healing or Love and scribe onto the candle the negative aspect of your situation.

b. Candle to represent the change or transformation you want to see. This is ideally a Needed Change, Stability, Attraction, Uncrossing or any action oriented candle. Chariot, Wheel of Fortune, Spiritual Cleansing, Energy boost are more candles that can help in this change.

c. Candle to represent the final outcome. This represents the declaration statement of what you want to have happen. Scribe into that candle what you want the final outcome to be. Go ahead, be specific and ask for exactly what you want.  Remember this is the end goal and not the means to get there. For instance, ask for a car, not the money to buy the car, this way you are open to the magic manifesting in unexpected ways.

4. R.E.M. Storm Cestavani, my Co-host on the Tuesday Psychic Friends Live, came up with this powerful combination at the same time I came up with the Magic Three combination. Our two methods are so close, they are almost the same but I wanted to show a deeper understanding of how you can craft your own method of choosing candles, much like your own tarot spread. Storm’s R.E.M is another transformation candle spell, tasking you to Remove, Energize and Manifest your magic.

a. R – Remove. This candle is to clear what it is that is blocking you from attaining your goal. You may have to meditate on this to pick the right candle or simply choose a candle that will remove the unknown block.

b. E – Energize. When you feed your magic energy, you speed up the process and give yourself the boost to make it happen. This candle is one that will help you along the way. It may be an energy candle or it may be one that is subject related like prosperity or love.

c. M – Manifest. This is the goal and you should go for it! Whatever it is you want, this is the candle you should use. Don’t be shy; ask for exactly what you want. If you want a spouse that loves you unconditionally that you can spend the rest of your days in joy with, then ask for it!

Pick the method that excites you the most and go for it. Whatever you decide, DO IT. Light a Coventry candle or any other candle and get your magic rolling. It only takes a moment and can only bring you what you are asking for. The only thing that gets in your way now is you, and if you are still hesitating then that’s you sabotaging yourself. Don’t worry, everyone does it once in a while, so shake it off and get your lighter out!
